Unit conversion allows you to convert from big unit of measurement to small unit of measurement. This helps for inventory accuracy.

For example, you are purchasing 50 trays of eggs for your stocks and you are selling the egg by each of it.

In this example, the unit conversion is from tray to each.


How to Create Unit Conversion?

To create this, you must first create the unit of measurement 'tray' and 'each'. Then follow these simple steps to create unit of conversion:

  1. Select the appropriate Initial Unit
  2. Select the appropriate Conversion Unit
  3. Enter Conversion Factor
  4. Click Save


So in the previous example of purchasing eggs and selling eggs, the actual inventory that you have for eggs is 1,500 eggs (50 trays x 30 eggs per tray).
